I went to North Korea in December 2017. North Korea is a very quiet country and the roads are empty. The roads are quite wide and there is no car anywhere. It can be a little boring for that. But people are very friendly. People need to be happy. Very hardworking and determined people. I've made very good friends. The capital Pyonyang is a very big and beautiful city. But they all know that they are things made for show. Music : Audionautix https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ SInger: http://audionautix.com/

My goal was to show you what my day to day life looked like when I was there and let you make up your own mind and judge for yourself. Do not judge North Korea only from what you see in this video. This is what they showed us and there's a reason they show some things and not show the others. Also, knowing how much control they exercise over the population, everything could have been staged only for us. We then headed towards Kim Il Sung Square, then the ancient city gate, over the bridge with the Juche Tower on our right and May Day stadium on our left, rode all the way to the Juche Tower, then to the Party Foundation Monument heading further to the Munsu waterpark and finally back to the Pyongyang Gold Lane Bowling Alley. KTG offer this option for all of our independent tours in North Korea, please check us out: https://www.north-korea-travel.com/independent-tours-north-korea.html Estuvimos una tres horas montando en bicicleta por Pyongyang, capital de Corea del Norte. Es difícil explicar lo fascinante que es explorar las calles de Pyongyang en bici. Ofrecemos esta experiencia única en todos nuestros viajes independientes y en las extensiones de nuestros viajes en grupo. Pyongyang, August 1 (KCNA) -- Grand gymnastic and artistic performance "Arirang", winner of Kim Il Sung Prize, raised its first curtain at the May Day Stadium on picturesque Rungna Island on Wednesday evening. Its creative staff produced new scenes representing the indomitable spirit of service personnel and people dynamically advancing toward the final victory of thriving Korea under the leadership of the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un, holding President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il in high esteem for all ages, and the true appearance of the DPRK which undergoes changes everyday. Among the audience were Kim Ki Nam and Yang Hyong Sop, officials of working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions, service personnel, working people in Pyongyang, overseas Koreans and foreign guests. Minister of Culture Hong Kwang Sun made an opening address. When songs "Fortune of Korea" and "Do Prosper, Era of the Workers' Party" reverberated through the stadium, there appeared on the background letters "Highest tribute to the great Comrade Kim Il Sung and Comrade Kim Jong Il", "Highest glory to the dear respected Comrade Kim Jong Un", "Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il are eternal sun of Juche", "Long live Heaven-sent illustrious commander General Kim Jong Un!", turning the stadium into a huge sea of flowers and dancers. The performers highly praised the undying revolutionary careers and feats of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il who built on this land a socialist power, independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in national defence, and demonstrated the dignity and power of the nation and glorified the 100 year-long history of Juche Korea as a proud period of great changes of the nation. The perfect performance was highly acclaimed by the audience for the acme of human culture and art. It was featured by a good combination of music, dances, gymnastics, acrobatics and ever-changing background strong in national flavor and high in artistry and peculiar stage decors, electronic displays and laser lighting. -0- 대집단체조와 예술공연 《아리랑》 개막 North Korea (DPRK - Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea) Nordkorea (DVRK - Demokratische Volksrepublik Korea) Corea del Norte Corée du Nord Koreańska Republika Ludowo-Demokratyczna Корейская Народно-Демократическая Республика Kuzey Kore كوريا الشمالية 조선민주주의인민공화국 朝鮮民主主義人民共和國

https://www.facebook.com/learnwithsyed WARNING: Some governments advise against all travel to North Korea due to the uncertain security situation caused by North Korea’s nuclear weapons development program and highly authoritarian and unpredictable regime. Though there is little evidence of safety issues concerning tourists on organized expeditions, those planning to engage in activities that the North Korean government forbids must be prepared to face severe consequences. Under no circumstances are you to say anything that could be perceived as an insult to or critical of Kim Il-sung, Kim Jong-Il, Kim Jong-Un, the Juche ideology, the Songun policy, the ruling Worker's Party of Korea, the North Korean government in general, or the citizens of North Korea. It is a common misconception that Beijing has full control over Pyongyang. Thus, when President Trump turns to President Xi to solve the Korean issue, which shows a lack of options for the Americans, it raises the question of what determines China’s policy on North Korea.

What is the North Korean Prison and Judicial System like? Support further explorations: https://www.patreon.com/theexploration This video explains the North Korean justice system by examining the case of Otto Warmbier, a student who traveled to Pyongyang as a tourist. He was arrested for ‘severe crimes’ and given hard labor in North Korea’s prison system. So what is life like inside the North Korean prison system, and how does it work? Is there a proper justice system in Korea? Will Warmbier be in one of the infamous prisons? In this mini North Korean documentary, I’ll be exploring all these questions about Kim Jong-un’s government and exposing some of North Korea’s best kept secrets. North Korea - They keep themselves a lot of secrets to themselves over there. We don’t know much about North Korea but there are some disturbing facts we do know. However, despite the best efforts of the state, some information has escaped, and it isn’t good. Here are the top 10 secrets, from inside North Korea. Foreign abduction zones - In the 1970s the founder of North Korea, Kim il Sung, ordered special camps to be built around the country. These camps began to be populated by young Japanese people. How did they get there? They were kidnapped by North Korean spies from towns on the Japanese coast, thrown in a sack and then transported on dinghies to the ‘invitation only’ zones. Fruit and fertiliser - Malnourishment is a massive problem in North Korea. During the 1990s, a huge famine hit the country and an estimated 3.7 million North Koreans died. Even today, it’s thought that 40% of North Koreans suffer from malnourishment. These things they believe - When a country’s population has virtually no contact with the outside world, you can tell them anything, and they’ll believe you. For example, most people inside North Korea are adamant that their former ’dear leader’ Kim Jong Il led a pretty exciting life. Get money - North Korea is officially the most corrupt country in the world. When nearly every country in the world refuses to do business with you, you have to get creative. That’s exactly what North Korea has done to try and make some money. Hairstyles and lifestyles - Life can be deadly dull in North Korea. If you’re a man, there are only 28 hairstyles, approved by the state, that you’re allowed to have. North Korean internet - Next time you think you’ve completed the internet, spare a thought for the North Koreans. Over there, the state controls the net, and it’s more like a company intranet than a world wide web. Class and caste - In most countries in the world there is some sort of class system, but nowhere is it as rigid as in North Korea. in 1957, leader Kim Il Sung ordered an investigation of the entire population, which led to the separating of everyone into 3 classes, based on family history rather than the individual person’s actions. 3 generations of punishment. - Talking of which, North Korea is big on punishing the whole family for the actions of one individual. If you commit a crime in North Korea, your children and your grandchildren will bear the stain of your action, and they will be punished too. Labour camps - In North Korea, If you commit a crime that isn’t punishable by execution, then you’ll likely be sent to a labour camp. There are 16 camps across North Korea, holding around 200,000 prisoners between them. Famines and cannibalism - During the mid 90s famine in North Korea, an estimated 3.7 million people died. That’s around 10% of the population. It was due to flooding, making North Korean farmland unusable, while crippling national debt and a refusal to deal with the West made it impossible for them to import food.

North Korea strikes fear in to the US Military with new military technology to send a message to US Military. North Korea (About this sound listen), officially the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK About this sound listen), is a country in East Asia, in the northern part of the Korean Peninsula. Pyongyang is both the nation's capital as well as its largest city. To the north and northwest the country is bordered by China and by Russia along the Amnok (known as the Yalu in China) and Tumen rivers.[10] The country is bordered to the south by South Korea, with the heavily fortified Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) separating the two. Following the Japanese surrender at the end of World War II in 1945, Korea was divided into two zones along the 38th parallel by the United States and the Soviet Union, with the north occupied by the Soviets and the south by the Americans. Negotiations on reunification failed, and in 1948 two separate governments were formed: the communist Democratic People's Republic of Korea in the north, and the Republic of Korea in the south. An invasion initiated by North Korea led to the Korean War (19501953). The Korean Armistice Agreement brought about a ceasefire, and no actual peace treaty was ever signed.[11] North Korea officially describes itself as a self-reliant socialist state[12] and formally holds elections. Critics regard it as a totalitarian dictatorship. Various outlets have called it Stalinist,[21][22][23] particularly noting the elaborate cult of personality around Kim Il-sung and his family. International organizations have assessed human rights violations in North Korea as belonging to a category of their own, with no parallel in the contemporary world.[24][25][26] The Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), led by a member of the ruling family,[23] holds power in the state and leads the Democratic Front for the Reunification of the Fatherland of which all political officers are required to be members.[27] Over time North Korea has gradually distanced itself from the world communist movement. Juche, an ideology of national self-reliance, was introduced into the constitution as a "creative application of Marxism–Leninism"[28] in 1972.[29][30] The means of production are owned by the state through state-run enterprises and collectivized farms. Most services such as healthcare, education, housing and food production are subsidized or state-funded.[31] From 1994 to 1998, North Korea suffered from a famine that resulted in the deaths of between 0.24 and 3.5 million people, and the country continues to struggle with food production.[32] North Korea follows Songun, or "military-first" policy.[33] It is the country with the highest number of military and paramilitary personnel, with a total of 9,495,000 active, reserve, and paramilitary personnel. Its active duty army of 1.21 million is the fourth largest in the world, after China, the U.S., and India.[34] It possesses nuclear weapons.[35][36] North Korea is an atheist state with no official religion and where public religion is discouraged.[37]

NOTE: I will put the subtitle on Thursday (June 15, 2017) =================================================== I was sending my wife a haircut on my subscriptions barbershop, while waiting for my wife, I eat at the restaurant next to the barbershop. Initially I intend to vlog about Korean food at a restaurant in Pyongyang, North Korea, and promote it. But at the time I did not dare to asked permission to the restaurant waitresses, finally I turned on my Gopro in the off-screen mode, and true! shortly after I turned on the Gopro and wanted to order the food, the restaurant's keeper saw the Gopro on the edge of the table and spontaneously forbid me to take pictures, I argued.. At that moment I was so worried but I tried to keep calm still trying to record the food I ordered. The food menu I ordered was: 1. Kimchi 2. Myongtae (fish) soup include rice; And 3. Pan fried tofu with spicy sauce. They take out insurance on helicopters and ships and other expensive property and collect when the property gets “destroyed,” which happens surprisingly often. The Korean Foreign Insurance Company, the only insurance company in the country, is in charge of finding out whether the claims are fake. Guess what? Somehow, they’re always legitimate. In one sad case, the claim was real. A train collision at the Ryongchon station caused flammable cargo to explode, killing over 3,000 people. Kim Jong Il, the president at the time, ordered North Korea's railway chief and several other transportation officials to be executed. The things you insure aren’t supposed to really get destroyed. I’m trying to figure out, why would anyone insure these guys?! 7 - Hiding prisoners of war This crime has nothing to do with money, and everything to do with keeping secrets and spreading lies. By the end of the Korean War it’s estimated that anywhere from 50,000 to 70,000 prisoners had been taken by North Korea. The issue of unaccounted South Korean POWs from the Korean War has been in dispute since the Korean Armistice Agreement in 1953. Less than 9,000 South Korean prisoners were ever returned, and just fewer than 14,000 prisoners were known to have been killed. A few prisoners voluntarily joined the North Korean army, but the vast majority were organized into “construction brigades” and forced to work in coal mines, factories, and farm villages in the northern-most parts of the country. After the war, prisoners that had been held by the Chinese and Soviets were handed over to North Korea and suffered the same fate. According to accounts of prisoners who escaped after 50 years, at least 500 have survived and are still being held today. International Humanitarian Law requires that prisoners of war must be released and repatriated without delay after a war is over, but obeying international laws is not something North Korea is very familiar with. To date, the status of 19,409 soldiers hasn’t been confirmed. 6 – Illegal Drug Trades For a communist country, North Korea has quite a few entrepreneurs willing to take a chance at running a business for profit. A former State Security Department agent said that every government agency was given an annual quota of foreign currency they had to earn. The Government didn’t care where the money came from, so officials were urged to be creative. North Korea's illegal drug trade dates back to the 1970s and includes the manufacturing, selling, and trafficking of illicit drugs, as well as counterfeit pharmaceutical drugs. Production began in the Hamkyung and Yangkang Provinces, particularly in the village of Yonsah, where Kim Il-Sung sanctioned the creation of an opium farm. In order to provide a cover of legitimacy, the North Korean government uses front companies to conduct its illegal activities. One such company, the Ryugyong Corporation, holds large tracts of land within the country for the sole purpose of growing opium. Each year the company sent tens of thousands of dollars in cash to Kim Jong Il for his use. Unlike most companies, Ryugyong Corporation has no import or export quota restrictions. Reports of methamphetamine use in North Korea surfaced in the late 90’s. The production of "meth" in North Korea is done by chemists and other underemployed scientists. Methamphetamine is actually given as a medication within North Korea, which obviously helped to fuel its spread. As the production and sale of opium declined in the mid-2000s, methamphetamine became much more widespread. To bring in much needed cash, the international meth trade began, spreading first to China, and with the drug being made in state-run laboratories.
